I used MBM.Com for a recent house purchase and found the service excellent. The application forms from the lender were relatively straight forward although I would consider myself fairly au fait with basic financial matters. The forms and products would probably cause a little constination for total novices but the communications from MBM are excellent. The commission I received paid for the arrangement fee of the mortgage and as I also received a cashback from the lender I ended up £250 ahead on the deal! I would recommend this service and suggest that the basic advice offered by a mortgage broker is not worth the large commission rebates which MBM can offer. In addition, no adviser is completely ‘indepndant’, the commission levels they receive will always be a factor, but by selecting your own product you can be sure you have the best deal possible for your own circumstances
